Public Relations Officer

Who is responsible for handling all aspects of planned publicity campaigns and Public Relations activities

Responsibilities:

• Planning publicity strategies and campaigns, writing and producing presentations and press releases.
• Dealing with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organizations.
• Organizing and attending promotional events such as press conferences, open days, exhibitions, tours and visits.
• Speaking publicly at interviews, press conferences and presentations.
• Providing clients with information about new promotional opportunities and current PR campaigns progress.
• Analyzing media coverage.
• Is responsible for creating visual ideas for the purpose of advertisements using graphic design software.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• College graduate. A PR postgraduate qualification will be helpful.
• Work experience gained within the PR, marketing, fundraising, events promotion, or journalism trades may also be beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing.
• Good interpersonal, presentation and IT skills.
• Certifications in certain graphic design software such as Photoshop are also highly desirable.
